Alper E. Yegin is a network protocol engineer in the Internet
Engineering Group of Sun Microsystems. He currently works on IPv6 and
Mobile IP development on Solaris operating system. He actively
participates in IETF with focus on IPv6, mobile and wireless Internet.
He is a member of IETF Mobile IPv6 Fast Handoff design team and
co-authored working group draft in this area. He is also involved with
organizing industry-wide Connectathon interoperability testing event and
coordinated Mobile IPv6 testing in Connectathon 2001. Alper received his
B.S. from Computer Engineering Department of Bogazici University,
Istanbul, and M.S. from Computer Science Department of University of
